Travis Matte and the Kingpins at Nick's on 2nd, Feb 1, 2008
These photos were taken during the first 45
minutes of a full-throttle performance by Travis Matte and the
Kingpins the Friday before Mardi Gras at Nick's on 2nd in Eunice.
The band played favorites from their first three CDs and introduced
songs from their just-released CD Hip-Hop Zyderock. The CD
title offers some idea of the way Travis has developed his own unique
style that continues to draw large crowds in dancehalls across Southwest
Louisiana. Nick's was certainly packed with plenty of fans who danced,
shouted, and carried on in the true spirit of Mardi Gras.
